SR Fiesta 2016
After several months of planning, SR Fiesta was held on the 8 August 2016. It was a fun-filled day of celebrations, beginning with the carnival in the day and culminating in an evening of music and lights with RockFest.
In line with the college’s vision of Leaders and Learners driven by Values and Imagination, SR Fiesta was conceptualised, organised and implemented by the SR Fiesta student planning committee, comprising 49 students, under the guidance and mentorship of teachers. This year, the committee broke barriers by extending the invitation of the event to family and friends of SRJCians and more than 500 family and friends came to join in the festivities as well as to immense themselves in the SR Experience.

Some of the highlights of the SR Fiesta carnival included 30 interesting food and game stalls ran by JC1 students together with 7 teacher stalls, which boast of Michelin Star worthy snacks and desserts as well as creative game stalls ideas. There were also hourly musical performances in the concourse and students battled their classmates at the Uncle Ringo Gladiator and Human Fussball game stations.

As the activities of the day wound down, the lights went up in the hall with the commencement of RockFest which included a great line-up of high quality musical band performances by students and teachers. The students sang and danced the night away to the great music as the day of exciting activities came to an end.
SR Fiesta 2016 was indeed a fun-filled and meaningful day as all SRJCians came together to bond as a college, while serving the community through fund raising as all proceeds collected from the SR Fiesta activities will go toward the President Star Charity. The committee thank all SRJCians staff and students who have contributed to make the event a big success and to the family and friends of SRJCians as well as to the members of our Alumni who came to join us in the festivities.
