International Students

Serangoon Junior College offers the Singapore-Cambridge GCE (Advanced Level) Examination, conducted by the Singapore Ministry of Education, the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board.

Our international student population consists of students from a variety of countries such as America, Britain, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. This multi-cultural diversity adds a welcomed dimension to the learning environment at our College.

Application for International Students

International students who wish to apply for admission to Serangoon Junior College are required to sit for the Junior College Principals Academy Certification Test (J-PACT) conducted by Principals Academy Inc (PAI). For details on the test format and examination schedule, please visit the J-PACT website.

International students who have passed the test and wish to be considered for admission to Serangoon Junior College can obtain the application form by clicking here. Please submit the completed application form, J-PACT test results and other supporting documents (testimonial, examination results, co-curricular records, etc) from previous educational institutions through postage mail or in person to Ms Tracy Ang in our General Office. All relevant documents must reach the College by 23 December 2016 to be considered for the 2017 JC1 admission.

Shortlisted applicants will be called up for an interview and further qualifying tests in English and Mathematics in mid-January to ascertain their suitability for admission and desired subject combination.
 

Application for Returning Singaporeans

Returning Singaporeans (RS) who wish to seek admission to JC1 in the next academic year must meet the requirements set by MOE. They should register for the School Placement Exercise for Returning Singaporeans (SPERS-JC/MI). 

Applicants must provide their personal particulars, contact details, academic results, co-curricular achievements and other relevant supporting documents. For applicants who have sat for the SPERS-JC/MI, they must include their list of eligible JCs and/or test results. All documents should be submitted through postage mail or in person to Ms Tracy Ang in our General Office and must reach the College by 23 December 2016 to be considered for the 2017 JC1 placement.
